Don’t let the Lifehack post title fool you, this is a terrific introduction to mindfulness meditation.
Lifehack Presents: The Mindfulness Meditation Mini Guide: Becoming mindful does not mean that you go into a trance, become god-like, learn to levitate, or some other crazy thing you may have heard of. Becoming mindful allows you to see yourself and the world around you just as it is without any preconceived notions of what it “should be”.
I was talking to a friend the other day about motorcycle riding, and the need to ‘Being in the Moment’. It’s both relaxing and exercises many of the same muscles that mindfulness meditation practice requires.
Like a walking meditation, which I am in no way trying to minimize, riding and being focused on the environment and the direct task at hand gives me a great opportunity to let the tension of the day go and just be.
Tell me about your meditation practice?
